Sermonettes from our Feed the Lambs ministry. God’s Call to Genuine Repentance
My wife and I were at a revival one evening and the
pastor was preaching John 21 when he called out loudly: Simon son of
John, do you love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know
that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” My wife and I looked at
each other because it felt as if he were speaking directly through us.
We got the message and God's call and began feed My lambs ministries.
From the beginning we knew we need to reach the seeds sown on the rocky
ground and in the thorns and do all that we could to bring then to
fertile ground.
But, how do we go about doing this?
We are blessed with the fact that during our show
tours we meet thousands of people and are seen by many thousands more.
Since our show booth is literally covered with our different cross
designs, we generally attract many Christians. Some are so strong in
their faith, they actually teach to us. Many a time we have been lifted
up by fellow believers. Some, however, are on the rocks as it applies to
their faith, sometimes even to their lives. This is our chance to
minister and we are blessed by many of these encounters. Sometimes
nonbelievers come into our booth to buy a present for someone else; this
is our chance to witness and possibly plant a seed.
That is after all, the value of community. To come to each
other’s aid. I truly believe that
these encounters are never by accident or coincidental. God has a funny
way of putting us in the path of others that need to hear from us, or we
need to hear from them.
We decided that short, Christian lessons, that we
could freely give away, would also be a great way to be of service in
God's call to ministry. We have written what we call sermonettes, short
messages we feel are essential to the Christian walk. Some were written
from inspirations we received I our study of
the bible, some inspiration we
received in discussions with other believers and some were inspired by
actual sermons we have attended. In writing these, we have worked
closely with the pastors who gave the sermon and with them have
endeavored to capture the essence of their very important Christian
lessons.
We hope these writings will inspire you. If you
have a Christian topic of great importance to you, drop us an email
explaining what that topic is, and we will consider it for a future
sermonette.
Your Sister and Brother in Christ;
Veronique and Mike Palumbo
