God's Promises
in this Life
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it
shall be opened unto you: Matthew 7:7
These are just some of the great promises made by our living God through
Christ Jesus for our lives. True, the promise of eternal life is great,
but that’s later, these are now. As a relatively new believer who comes
out of a Godless past, these promises have changed my life in ways I
could never have predicted. Now I turn to Christ first, through prayer,
and the yolk is definitely lighter. If you are in Christ, Hallelujah,
praise the Lord. If not please answer the plea of one who has been there
and now has personally witnessed the grace and kind mercies of a loving
God and the Son who died for us...
Your brother in Christ, Mike Palumbo
From God’s Word to your ears:
asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered
them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation;
nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the
kingdom of God is within you.” Luke
17:20
Fear not, for I have redeemed you;
I have called you by your name;
you are Mine. When
you pass through the waters, I
will be with you; And
through the rivers, they shall not overflow you.
When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor
shall the flame scorch you. Isaiah 43:1-2
Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of
man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him. 1
Corinthians 2:9
If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed
away; and all things have become new. 2 Corinthians 5:17
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it
is the gift of God. Ephesians 2:8
Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may
exalt you at the proper time, casting all your anxiety on Him, because
He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:6
Do not fear, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God.
I shall strengthen you, and I will help you. I will uphold you
with My righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you; not as the world gives
do I give to you. Do not let your heart be troubled, nor let it be
fearful. John 14:27
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give
you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and
lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is
easy, and my burden is light. Matthew 11:28
‘I AM THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, AND THE GOD OF ISAAC, AND THE GOD OF JACOB’?
He is not the God of the dead but of the living. Matthew 22:32
The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in
green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my
soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will
fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort
me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:
thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness
and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in
the house of the LORD for ever. Psalm 23
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to
prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Jeremiah 29:11
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is
the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Psalm 27:1
Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own
understanding. In all thy
ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Proverbs 3:5
I am the Vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him,
bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:5
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Phillipians 4:13
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication
with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace
of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and
your minds in Christ Jesus. Phillipians 4:6
Therefore I, the prisoner of the Lord, implore you to walk in a manner
worthy of the calling with which you have been called, with all humility
and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in
love, being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of
peace. There is one body
and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your
calling; one Lord, one
faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and
through all and in all. Ephesians 4:1-6
Paul wrote this nearly 2000 years ago and it is as true today as it was
in his time. As a part of the body, believers are called upon to be
agreeable and cooperative and to love one another...
Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in
my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth,
and the truth shall make you free. John 8:31-32
This is the truth all believers know and share in the unity of
faith in Christ Jesus, our Lord and our Savior.
