Onto this cross I have carved the entire Lord's Prayer also know as the Our Father Prayer as taken from the King James Version of Matthew 6:9-13; "Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen." Jesus Himself states "After this manner therefore pray ye". He has given us His guidence on how to approach the Father in prayer and we should apply it in all of our prayer. I apply a layer of solid white birch, that is only carved out in exterior contour to the original design, to the back of the cross. This beautifully accents the lines and gives the cross the appearance of a Halo.
